My lifestyle may not suit everyone, and my packed schedule often leaves little time for idleness, but it’s the path I’ve chosen.

The Kickoff to My Day

A crucial part of my morning routine includes finishing my daily reading. I typically delve into six different books each morning, which consists of five daily readings and one self-improvement book divided into manageable sections. If I can't complete all six, I aim to read at least one or two before my workout and the remaining afterward.

College Years

From my college days, I've always been involved in multiple activities. I served as a music director at a church, worked in retail and tech, managed a music teaching business, and assisted with my father's side project, all while handling a demanding course load of 17-20 hours.

Current Life

Today, my situation has evolved. With my academic days behind me, I can now devote my energy to my passions. My current roles include working in tech, mentoring for two organizations, and writing under five different pseudonyms—all while caring for seven dogs.

One significant takeaway from managing numerous responsibilities is the finite nature of time. Given my aspirations and personal limitations, I’ve had to become more innovative to achieve my goals without overwhelming myself.

People often inquire how I manage to publish so many books. My response is simple: I write frequently. However, two additional strategies can significantly ease the writing process:

I randomly picked up a book on time management and finished it just before the new year; it was life-altering. Since time is the one resource we can never reclaim, I’ve devised methods to maximize my limited hours. Here are eight effective strategies:

#### 1. Schedule Weekly Housecleaning

I never thought I’d reach this point, but here I am. I used to be the person who meticulously checked for cleaning spots, but I’ve opted for a professional cleaning service. My desire for perfection has diminished, and now I can focus on more important tasks.

#### 2. Use Lunch Breaks for Workouts

While I don’t require a full hour for lunch, I do need that time for exercise—something I’ve prioritized since I was eleven. A workout demands a dedicated time slot to ensure it happens.

#### 3. Set Boundaries After Hours

I make a conscious effort to avoid working late on my full-time job unless absolutely necessary. Establishing boundaries is essential; the tasks will still be there in the morning.

#### 4. Embrace Remote Work

Since 2019, I’ve only worked for companies that allow full-time remote work. The commute may have seemed appealing at first, but I realized that time spent traveling could be better used for writing or other productive activities.

#### 5. Delay Responses to Calls and Texts

Unless it’s immediate family, you likely won’t receive a quick response from me. The phone can be a significant distraction.

#### 6. Hire an Assistant

I compensate a family member for helping with minor tasks that I need to manage for both personal and business reasons.

#### 7. Leverage Others' Interests

My partner enjoys shopping, so they handle our grocery and household shopping. I focus on dog-related purchases, which I find joy in and always prioritize.

#### 8. Utilize Natural Energy Sources

While I prefer tea over coffee, sometimes I need a boost to keep going. I take ginseng and maca supplements before workouts and enjoy a cup of coffee afterward to energize me for my side projects.

#### 9. Beware of Empty Calendar Space

An unfilled calendar invites distractions. I’m passionate about mentoring, but I must limit my availability to maintain writing time. Setting strict boundaries is crucial for achieving my goals.

#### 10. Transform Distractions into Inspiration

Poetry is a personal project of mine, and I often listen to instrumental music to spark creativity. Sometimes, I even have muted movies playing in the background while I write, creating a relaxing atmosphere.

#### 11. Know When to Pause

It’s vital to recognize when you need a break. If I feel fatigued or irritable, I take time off to recharge. Ignoring this can lead to burnout.

#### 12. Write Down Your Goals

Before devising a plan, I jot down my goals. Though some may seem unattainable, reviewing them regularly helps me create a sustainable strategy for achieving them without overwhelming myself.

There are no goals beyond reach in my view, which sometimes leads to passionate pursuits overshadowing practicality. I strive for balance in everything I juggle, and self-awareness plays a key role. By listening to my body, I maintain my well-being.
