Chapter 1: The Unsettling Nights
The sisters were gripped with fear! For the past month, they had been waking up in the middle of the night, witnessing unsettling sights of something floating in the air. They heard mysterious knocking on the walls and were even jolted from their beds, with their heads colliding against the hard surfaces.
The furniture in their room, particularly the chairs, would often be found overturned. This relentless activity left them utterly sleep-deprived, and both girls felt an overwhelming sense of possession.
Mary and Polly were at a loss for what to do. After much deliberation, they decided to confide in their parents.
Their mother and father, hearing the nightly disturbances, assumed it was just their daughters being rowdy and restless, dismissing the sounds as nothing serious. They never bothered to investigate the source of the ruckus.
Eventually, the girls managed to convince their parents that something sinister was at play, displaying their bruises and cuts as evidence. They even produced photographs showing them seemingly levitating in mid-air. The images finally caught their parents' attention, and fear took hold of them upon realizing the situation's gravity.
To get to the bottom of the matter, they enlisted the help of a psychic. The psychic managed to tap into the energy in their home and encouraged it to reveal itself. To everyone’s astonishment, the presence identified itself as “Bill,” claiming to have died in a chair located in the living room corner.
The mystery of why that chair remained in the house after their move was perplexing!
To address the haunting, they blessed the chair, and the psychic performed a cleansing ritual to help “Bill” move on. The chair, along with the wallpaper, lamp, curtains, and any associated belongings, was removed.
They hoped this would resolve the disturbances, and fortunately, it did. The chaos ceased, allowing the girls to enjoy peaceful nights of sleep once again.
