As a crucial reminder, Medium has identified certain fraudulent activities that have led to some member suspensions. As new writers, please adhere to the platform's policies and never attempt to circumvent the rules.

If you’re a non-member, we encourage you to consider becoming a member. While reviewing applications, we found that over 30% of new applicants are non-members. While we wholeheartedly support all writers, please note that without membership, monetization and audience growth on Medium will be challenging. Publishing and Conduct Guidelines for the Lampshade of ILLUMINATION

Every writer contributing to our publications must review these guiding policies before submitting their stories. While we are flexible, these rules are non-negotiable.

• Zero tolerance for plagiarism on ILLUMINATION
• No defamation, discrimination, or hate speech permitted
• Importance of image copyrights for writers and editors

Section 1.4: Essential Tips for New Writers

We understand that many beginners may have questions. If you are an experienced Medium writer, you may skip the following points.

1. How to submit your stories to publications

   After writing your first story, click on the three dots at the top right of your screen, select "Add to Publication," choose ILLUMINATION or another relevant publication, and submit your story. When it arrives in the publication queue, editors will review it. If it meets our criteria, it will be published. Otherwise, editors will provide feedback for revisions.

2. Use copyright-free images and caption them

   Ensure you use copyright-free images and include captions. Violating copyright laws can lead to significant penalties, as some writers have experienced.

3. What is Slack, and why should you join?

   Slack is a private collaboration tool that facilitates communication among writers, editors, and publication owners. It’s essential for addressing any issues that may arise with your stories.

4. AI-generated content policy

   Currently, our publications do not accept AI-generated content, except for one dedicated publication, The Lampshade of ILLUMINATION.

5. Boost Nominating Publications

   ILLUMINATION-Curated has been recognized as a boost-nominating publication by Medium. To join, you'll need to demonstrate experience in submitting high-quality stories. If you think you qualify, please reach out to our chief editor for an evaluation.
