# My Experience with X Premium: A Two-Month Journey

As many are aware, Twitter has undergone a transformation and is now known as X. This platform has evolved into a valuable resource for honing copywriting skills, crafting compelling content, and engaging with an audience.
In February 2024, I made the decision to subscribe to X Premium at a cost of $9 monthly. While the premium features enhance my profile's visual appeal, the underlying purpose extends beyond aesthetics. It became a significant source of income for me, allowing me to sustain my living primarily through audience interactions.
After joining X Premium, it took approximately three days before I obtained my coveted Blue check mark.

To fully grasp the benefits, let's break down the available plans on X:
Basic Plan:
This economical option allows users to edit tweets but does not include a check mark.
Premium Plan:
This plan unlocks the check mark feature, enables tweet editing, and offers monetization opportunities for content creators.
Premium + Plan:
At a higher price point, this plan includes all features of Premium, along with the ability to publish long-form content.
I opted for the Premium plan and met the necessary criteria, including achieving 5 million impressions and accumulating 500 followers.

After obtaining the Blue check mark, I noticed a significant uptick in my follower count, averaging between 30 to 50 new followers. Following a consistent posting schedule over the next few months, I finally received my first earnings, which amounted to 49 euros. This experience was exhilarating as I discovered a new avenue for generating income through content creation.
However, I soon encountered a drawback: to earn revenue on X, my posts required comments from verified users, specifically those with Premium or Premium+ accounts.

If you're aiming to grow your follower base quickly, acquiring a Blue check mark can be advantageous—especially if you focus on a specific writing niche and dedicate time to audience engagement.
I typically allocated 3 to 4 hours daily to interact on X. My results from the past week were promising, yet they required substantial effort. Engaging with each comment is time-intensive, particularly if you have fewer than 10,000 followers, as it places you among the dedicated individuals striving to earn.
Chapter 2: Conclusion and Next Steps
Despite the intriguing journey, after my second renewal, I decided to step back from X and pursue opportunities as a freelancer. This decision stemmed from the realization that the effort required to monetize effectively was not aligned with my goals at that moment.
