Chapter 1: The Shift to a Life of Surrender
Until recently, I never really enjoyed tackling challenging tasks. However, I've developed a deep passion for daily writing that I find hard to resist (much to my friends' dismay). Five years ago, my life revolved around lazily playing video games in my parents' apartment, largely due to the numbing experience of school, which made me perceive life as mundane, dictated by uninspiring authority figures.
In my rebellious spirit, I rejected this view, retreating into my own little universe, unaware that there was an alternative path. It was only after I began to embrace the universal principles of success that I discovered the possibility of navigating life with ease.
Now, writing has become an effortless and enjoyable practice, whether I'm working on my fiction or blogging. This positive shift stems from learning about the initially unfamiliar yet transformative concept of "universal principles," shared by insightful individuals through their books, articles, and videos. My daily work requires no discipline; it's simply a natural extension of my interests.
Among the key qualities I want to discuss are:
- A distinct and unwavering vision
- Daily actionable steps toward that vision
- Total commitment to your craft
- The ability to enter flow states at will
- Regularly incorporating feedback from experiences
Let's dive into the first and perhaps the most intimidating quality: a long-term vision or clear sense of direction.
Section 1.1: Establishing a Long-Term Vision
Having a compelling long-term vision is essential, yet it can be more challenging to establish than it seems. Many people struggle to identify a unique, deeply resonant vision. Personally, I haven't fully articulated mine either, but I have a strong foundation to build upon. By focusing on my most pronounced talents—creativity and writing—I can gradually shape this vision.
In a previous blog post, I discussed discovering your unique talents, which can ignite a passion worth pursuing. This exploration provides a sense of direction, even if the final destination remains unclear. The key is to take consistent action based on this knowledge.
To reach your ambitious goals, break them down into manageable steps that you can act on immediately. The challenge many face is overcoming the barriers life presents.
Or is it really life getting in the way? Often, it’s our minds that create excuses, discouraging thoughts, and toxic rationalizations that hold us back. This brings us to the next universal principle: accessing flow states.
Section 1.2: Accessing Flow States
Achieving flow—complete immersion in your work—is crucial for optimal performance. However, getting into this state can be difficult, especially after a long day. Fortunately, several strategies can help make this process smoother:
- Choose a project that excites you.
- Eliminate distractions, including your phone.
- Establish a regular work schedule to ease into flow.
Once you've addressed these factors, getting into flow should become easier. Remember, developing the ability to immerse yourself in your work is a skill honed over time.
Chapter 2: Immersing Yourself in Your Craft
My father always said, "If something is worth doing, it's worth doing well." This wisdom has proven invaluable throughout my experiences. When you commit to anything, dive deep. Explore every angle, learn quickly, and let your curiosity guide you.
Don’t limit your learning to contemporary figures; study the legends of your field. I draw inspiration from masters like Hemingway, Dostoevsky, and Huxley. Discover those worth emulating and immerse yourself in their work.

Ultimately, success will favor those who act quickly, learn from their experiences, and adapt efficiently. Strive to be that person.
